Tokai Carbon Paper (TGP-H-030)

Tokai carbon paper is a porous C/C composite product (composite material of carbon fiber and carbon) produced by high-temperature heat treatment. It is used as the electrode substrate and other electrode aspects in fuel cells due to its excellent characteristics.

 

Characteristics:

1. High conductivity: Carbon fiber has strong conductivity due to the arrangement of carbon elements.

2. High strength: Thin and high strength, with excellent compression characteristics.

3. High gas permeability: High porosity (about 78%) allows easy passage of other gases.

4. Corrosion resistance: Due to the high-temperature treated carbon, it has fewer impurities and excellent corrosion resistance.

5. Surface smoothness: Carbon fibers are distributed in one direction, resulting in excellent surface smoothness and fewer surface irregularities, similar to textiles.

6. Good uniformity and consistency

Tokai carbon paper from Japan can be used in PAFC and PEFC batteries, with good tolerance, good mechanical strength, high conductivity, and gas permeability, making it suitable for the gas diffusion layer in fuel cells.
