With a thickness of 0.19 mm and a porosity of approximately 78%, it offers high gas permeability and good through-plane electrical conductivity (80 mΩcm² in the thickness direction). Its flexural modulus of 10 MPa provides adequate mechanical support while maintaining a thin profile. The material exhibits low surface resistance (5.8 mΩcm² one-sided) and uniform surface smoothness, making it suitable as an electrode substrate for fuel cells. It is available in hydrophilic, hydrophobic microporous layer, and hydrophobic variants, each tailored for specific water management and gas diffusion requirements in electrochemical systems.
