This research-grade copper foam (0.5 mm thickness) is developed for use as an electrode skeleton material in advanced batteries, such as nickel-zinc and supercapacitor systems, as well as a current collector for energy storage devices. With a through-porous ratio of ≥90%, a PPI of 130±10, and a surface density of 600±50 g/m², it offers high porosity and electrical conductivity suitable for electrochemical applications. The material also functions as a catalyst or catalyst support in organic reactions and photocatalytic air purification, and serves as an effective thermal conductor for flame retardation and heat dissipation in electronics. Available in 100×100 mm or 200×300 mm sheets with a thickness tolerance of ±0.1 mm, it comes ready for use without pre-washing, making it a convenient choice for experimental research and prototype development.

(1) Electrode material. Excellent conductivity allows copper foam to be widely used as electrode skeleton material in new types of batteries such as nickel-zinc batteries and supercapacitors. At present, copper foam has been tested and put into mass production by many nickel-zinc battery manufacturers. Copper foam is also expected to be widely used as electrode collector for supercapacitors. In addition, copper foam has broad prospects as an electrode material for recycling copper-containing wastewater.

(2) Catalyst. In many organic chemical reactions, attempts have been made to directly use copper foam with a large specific surface area as a catalyst instead of perforated copper foil. Copper foam has also achieved successful applications as a carrier for photocatalytic air purification.

(3) Thermal conductivity material. Copper foam has excellent thermal conductivity, making it an excellent flame retardant material that has been used in many advanced firefighting equipment abroad, especially as a flame isolating material with excellent effects. In addition, copper foam is used as a heat dissipation material for motors and electrical appliances due to its excellent thermal conductivity and apparent permeability.
