Details

This product is designed for advanced liquid and semi-solid lithium battery research, incorporating a LATP solid electrolyte coating on a double-sided modified polyolefin separator. The GMSS02 separator features a 7 μm PE base film with a 2 μm boehmite ceramic coating on one side and a 1 μm LATP coating on the other, both topped with a 2 μm PVDF adhesive layer for enhanced electrode adhesion. Key technical advantages include high thermal shrinkage resistance (≤1.2% MD at 130°C), excellent puncture strength (446 gf), and balanced tensile properties (~3000 Kgf/cm² in both directions). The boehmite layer provides low density and high coverage, while the LATP layer contributes to improved ionic conductivity and wettability with organic electrolytes. This separator is suitable for coin cells, pouch cells, and semi-solid architectures, but not for pure solid-state or sodium-based systems. It should be handled in dry conditions and stored sealed to maintain stability.

The advantage of this separator is high adhesion between the cathode and anode electrode plates, high liquid retention, and high thermal shrinkage temperature. Compared to alumina, boehmite has a lower density, and AlOOH of the same mass covers 25% more area than high-purity Al2O3; And the boehmite coating has high flatness and low internal resistance; High heat resistance temperature; Organic solvents have good compatibility and good wettability; The addition of PVDF coating on both sides increases the adhesion with the cathode and anode electrodes without affecting the ion conductivity.

Can be used for liquid lithium batteries, semi-solid lithium batteries, coin cells, and pouch cell batteries, but cannot be used for pure solid state batteries or sodium batteries. Exposed to air is relatively stable, but it is best to operate in a dry room and store it sealed after use.

Coating description: LATP facing inward

A represents alumina, L represents LATP, and B represents boehmite.

The thickness of the PE base film is 7um, with 2um of boehmite ceramic coating on one side and 1um of oxide solid electrolyte LATP coating on the other side, applied on both sides of the PE base film. Add PVDF adhesive layer on both sides, 2um each

Before punching the separator, please distinguish the coated areas according to the instructions above. Otherwise, the different coating areas will be difficult to identify after punching.
