The GDS310 variant, with a thickness of 0.31 mm and a porosity of 77%, offers a balanced combination of mechanical integrity and gas transport properties. Its tensile strength reaches 10 N/cm in the cross-direction, while flexural modulus values of 3500 MPa (machine direction) and 2000 MPa (cross-direction) ensure structural stability under compression. Low through-plane resistance (<5 mΩ·cm²) and air permeability under 10 seconds support efficient electron and gas diffusion. Designed for experimental setups, it is commonly used as a substrate for catalyst layers or diffusion medium in membrane electrode assemblies.
