Details

This product is a special iodine positive pole piece for water-based zinc-iodine battery. It is evenly loaded with iodine-based active substances and is specially designed for university laboratories, scientific research institutes and material research and development teams.

1. Note that ZI0101 contains no active iodine; iodine must be added manually. The procedure for adding iodine is detailed in the table below.
2. Do not open the packaging bag prior to use. Store in a sealed container at room temperature to prevent iodine sublimation and the resulting loss of volume.
3. Use the product as soon as possible, preferably within two days of receipt.
4. Do not store in high-temperature or heated environments.

Item Specification
Electrode Description Composition: Titanium mesh + activated carbon.

The small coin electrode has a low iodine loading capacity; iodine volatilization may affect test results, so iodine must be dropped onto the electrode manually before testing.
Iodine Loading (Theoretically, a 12 mm activated carbon positive electrode can absorb ~22 mg of pure iodine solution.)

Prepare with ethanol in a shaded, ventilated area. Iodine vapor is toxic, so wear a gas mask, gloves, and lab coat.

Example: Weigh 1 g of iodine, grind, add 5 mL of anhydrous ethanol, and sonicate for ~20 min until fully dissolved. Pipette 110 μL of the iodine-ethanol solution dropwise at different positions to ensure uniform absorption.

After loading, dry at 40°C for ~12 h to remove solvent, then dry thoroughly at 55–60°C for 30–60 min. Weigh after drying to confirm the loading amount.

Iodine easily sublimates

After the product is unsealed, use it within two days to avoid capacity loss caused by iodine sublimation
