This product is specially designed as a cathode electrode sheet for aqueous zinc-ion battery research, fabricated from electrolytic manganese dioxide in its γ crystalline form on a steel foil substrate. The single-sided rolled configuration ensures a high and controllable active material loading with good processability, and the sheet dimensions can be adjusted according to experimental needs. Intended for use with water-based electrolytes, the electrode is best tested in a 2M zinc sulfate electrolyte and should be baked at 100 °C for two hours prior to use. Importantly, this electrode does not require assembly in a glove box, making it convenient for standard laboratory environments. It is well suited for evaluating the electrochemical performance of manganese dioxide cathodes in zinc battery systems, provided that the recommended test methods and electrolyte conditions are followed.

The manganese dioxide electrode sheet (steel foil substrate) is made of electrolytic manganese dioxide (γ crystal form) material in a thin sheet

 

The electrolyte is water-based electrolyte, please do not put it in the glove box

 

The electrolyte used during testing is 2M zinc sulfate electrolyte

 

Baking conditions for electrode: Bake at 100 ℃ for 2 hours

 

1. The cathode electrode sheet of water-based zinc ion batteries is coated with an active material (manganese based or vanadium based) on the surface of the current collector, and then made into a sheet by rolling, die-cutting, etc. The loading capacity is high, controllable, and the processability is good. The parameter size of the sheet can be adjusted

 

2. The battery does not need to be assembled in a glove box and can be used in a laboratory environment

3. This product must be tested in accordance with the test methods and electrolytes recommended by Coulter to achieve the corresponding performance.
Since the test method and electrolyte have a great influence on the performance of the battery, any change in the test method or electrolyte may reduce the performance of the pole piece; be sure to check this information before purchasing.

Defects in manganese dioxide electrode: During production, packaging, or transportation, the surface of the electrode is prone to wear and tear, resulting in noticeable marks such as scratches.
