This olive-shaped stirrer is designed for mixing and stirring applications in demanding chemical, pharmaceutical, food, and metallurgical environments. Fabricated from high-purity polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), it offers excellent chemical inertness, resisting strong acids, alkalis, and most organic solvents, along with a low coefficient of friction and non-adhesive surface. The PTFE shell retains good mechanical toughness at low temperatures, maintaining about 5% elongation. Each stir bar contains a permanent magnet for standard magnetic stirring; however, prolonged use at or above 200°C should be avoided to prevent demagnetization. Available in multiple sizes from 3×6 mm to 12×25 mm, this stirrer provides reliable performance for routine laboratory mixing tasks where corrosion resistance and low friction are required.
