This product is a 99% alumina saggar (arc-shaped), developed for high-temperature sintering processes in materials research and industrial applications. Fabricated via slip casting or die casting and fired at 1800°C, it offers excellent thermal stability up to 1600°C, making it suitable for demanding experimental environments such as calcination, firing, or heat treatment of powders and ceramics. Available in a range of capacities from 3 ml to 100 ml, with or without a cover, the saggar accommodates different batch sizes. The cover serves as a dust shield and is not airtight, so users should account for this in process design. To ensure longevity, gradual heating and cooling are recommended—below 5°C/min under 1200°C and below 4°C/min above—along with a pre-bake at 105°C to remove moisture before first use.
