Product Description:
Wire gauze is a metal mesh placed on the tripod above an alcohol lamp when heating liquids. It consists of two layers of wire mesh sandwiching an asbestos-impregnated cotton cloth that has been soaked and air-dried. It is a common laboratory apparatus for chemical experiments. It features exquisite workmanship, neat appearance, acid and alkali resistance, shock and wear resistance, with a wide range of applications.
Notes:
- Avoid contact with corrosive substances: Although wire gauze has certain acid and alkali resistance, long-term exposure to highly corrosive substances may still cause damage, reducing its service life and performance.
- Prevent mechanical damage: Though the wire gauze is shock-resistant and wear-resistant, violent collision, scratching and other mechanical damage should be avoided to prevent structural breakdown and exposure of asbestos fibers.
- Proper installation and placement: Ensure the wire gauze is correctly mounted and steadily placed on the tripod during use. Improper installation may cause slipping or tilting during heating, which will compromise experimental results and even lead to hazards.
