Details

Material:

PEEK (Polyether Ether Ketone) and high-quality stainless steel

Applications & Features:

Primarily used for measuring the through-plane bulk ionic conductivity of solid electrolyte membranes, including proton exchange membranes and ion exchange membranes. It can also be used for rapid measurement of the volume resistivity/conductivity of conventional insulating or conductive films.

Sample Size:
Diameter < Φ20 mm; thickness < 5 mm.

The fixture is mainly made of stainless steel and PEEK, providing excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, and high temperatures. The electrode leads are positioned at the top of the fixture, allowing in-situ testing in electrolyte environments (with the fixture placed in a beaker) as well as under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions.

During the membrane clamping process, the metal electrodes move vertically only without rotation, helping prevent damage to the membrane.

Operation:

Operation is simple. Cut the membrane to the required size and place it into the fixture, then tighten the knob to ensure good contact. A torque wrench can also be used to precisely control the applied pressure. The membrane conductivity can then be measured using Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS).
