Details

This product is a sodium-ion battery cathode electrode sheet based on sodium nickel iron manganese oxide (NTO2XX), designed for researchers developing layered oxide cathodes for sodium-ion cells. The electrode features a high active material ratio of 95.5% on a 12 µm aluminum foil current collector, with a coating areal density of 12.27 mg/cm² and a theoretical surface capacity of 1.49 mAh/cm². It delivers a specific capacity of 120 mAh/g when tested at 0.1C between 2.00 and 4.00 V at 25 °C. Offered in both rolled and unrolled versions, the unrolled sheet requires user-controlled calendering to achieve a compacted density between 2.00 and 2.50 g/cc before use. For optimal performance, the recommended electrolyte is KLD‑NC06, and the electrode can be paired with the YT02XX anode (N/P ratio 1.16) for full-cell assembly. Pre-baking at 85–105 °C for 4 hours is advised prior to glovebox entry, and active material mass should be calculated based on actual disc weight.

Because it is a single-sided electrode, there will be a curl after rolling, so the shipped roller-pressed electrode has controlled and compacted to ensure that the electrode is not rolled;

Rolling can improve the compacting density of the electrode, improve the electronic conductivity of the electrode, and improve the bonding.

1. The electrode should be rolled before use, and the customer needs to arrange the rolling pressure by himself to purchase the electrode that has not been rolled;

2. The surface density shall be determined according to the actual weighing results;

3. Before putting it in the glove box, the punched electrode needs to be vacuum baked at a temperature of 105 °C for 4 hours;

4. This electrode can be matched with our YT0101 anode electrode; 5. The density of the coating surface does not include the current collector;

6. Theoretical surface capacity mAh/cm2 = coating surface density mg/cm2 * proportion of active substance * gram capacity mAh/g÷1000;

7. The amount of theoretical active substance (mg) = coating surface density mg/cm2 * proportion of active substance * small disc area cm2;

8. The actual weighing calculates the amount of active substance (mg) = (weight of small disc mg - current collector surface density mg/cm2 * small disc area cm2) * proportion of active substance, and calculates the gram capacity according to the amount of active substance actually weighed, due to the tolerance of the density of the coating surface, the actual weighing shall prevail.

This product must be tested in accordance with the test methods and electrolytes recommended by Coulter to achieve the corresponding performance.Since the test method and electrolyte have a great influence on the performance of the battery, any change in the test method or electrolyte may reduce the performance of the pole piece; be sure to check this information before purchasing.

Usage Recommendations

1. If the electrode sheet is not rolled, it generally needs to be rolled before punching and baking (the compaction density can be referenced from the minimum value in the "Compaction Density" column of this table);

2. Baking conditions: 85-105℃ for 4 hours (if vacuum baking, it needs to be ventilated twice);

3. The mass of active material needs to be determined according to the actual weight of each small disc.
