Details
Mixed cellulose ester (MCE)
Characteristics: Smooth surface, lightweight, high porosity, good retention effect, hydrophilic, good water flux, uniform microporous structure, extremely low adsorption rate, not resistant to organic solvents and strong acid and alkali solutions, filtration tolerance pH range of 2-9, only suitable for filtration of aqueous drugs or other water-soluble solvents, high cost performance.
Applications: Sterilization and removal of particles in laboratories and small-scale production processes.
- Sterilization filtration of culture media and culture fluids.
- Determination of microbial communities in water bodies.
Description of Microporous membrane products:
In membrane separation technology applications, microporous membrane is the most widely used type of membrane, with simple and fast operation. It has the characteristics of high gas flux, high particle retention rate, good temperature resistance, resistance to strong acids, strong alkalis, organic solvents, and oxidants, aging resistance, non-adhesive, non-combustible, non-toxic, and good biocompatibility. Its material can be divided into two categories: organic and inorganic. Considering the separation characteristics of microporous membranes, the main application of microporous membranes is to retain particles, bacteria, and other pollutants from gas and liquid phases to achieve purification, separation, and concentration objectives. For microfiltration, the retention characteristics of the membrane are represented by its pore size, usually ranging from 0.1 to 1 µm. Therefore, microfiltration membranes can be used to separate large-diameter bacteria, suspended solids, etc. It can be used for general liquid clarification, security filtration, and air sterilization. It is widely used in scientific research, medical and health, biochemistry, food, energy, microelectronic industry, nanotechnology, environmental protection, and other sectors.
Applications of Microporous membranes:
This product is mainly used for filtration of mobile phases and samples in chromatographic analysis, and has a good effect of protecting chromatographic columns, infusion pump tube systems, and injection valves from contamination. It is widely used in weight analysis, trace analysis, colloid separation, and sterile testing. During use, choose the appropriate filter membrane according to the filtered sample.
