Structure & Performance
Nickel foam (nickel foam mesh) is composed of a homogeneous 3D reticulated network, enabling:
- Efficient gas diffusion and fluid transport
- Stable flow dynamics
- Superior filtration efficiency
- Enhanced heat dissipation
These properties make it ideal for battery electrodes, fuel cells, supercapacitors, catalytic supports, heat exchangers, and filtration systems.
Manufacturing Process
The base substrate is an open-cell porous polymer foam, which is processed through:
- Chemical nickel plating
- Vacuum nickel deposition
- Conductive adhesive impregnation
After pre-nickel treatment, thick nickel layers are electroplated in a standard nickel electroplating solution, followed by:
- High-temperature sintering
- Reduction annealing
This process ensures the final product achieves high conductivity, structural integrity, and excellent mechanical performance.
