This zinc ion electrolyte is developed for advanced zinc battery research, offering two formulations: a 2M zinc sulfate electrolyte and an additive-enhanced version. Designed with safety in mind, it is non-flammable and exhibits low corrosiveness and viscosity, ensuring stable chemical properties and good ion conductivity. The additive formulation further improves cycling stability and rate performance across a wider temperature range, from -10 °C to 60 °C, while the standard version operates between 5 °C and 60 °C. Both variants demonstrate reliable conductivity (55.4 mS/cm for the standard; 53.5–60.2 mS/cm for the additive version) and a mild acidic pH, making them well-suited for long-life zinc-ion battery studies and practical evaluations.
