This product, the Whatman GF/C Glass Fiber Filter Membrane/Separator, is designed for advanced energy material research, particularly as a separator in zinc, sodium-ion, potassium-ion, and lithium-air batteries. Made from borosilicate glass fibers without binders, it offers high porosity and fast flow rates while effectively retaining fine particles. With a theoretical maximum temperature tolerance of 550 °C (practically recommended up to 300–400 °C for stability), it suits high-temperature applications. Available in multiple diameters from 2.1 cm to 18.5 cm, as well as sheet formats, these membranes are also widely used for water quality testing, sample pretreatment in gas chromatography, cell culture, and immunoassay kit development. The GF/C membrane combines reliable particle retention with consistent performance, making it a versatile choice for both battery research and standard laboratory filtration needs.

GF/C:

It is a non-bonded filter membrane that effectively retains fine particles and allows fast flow. It is commonly used as a standard filter membrane for testing drinking water, natural water, and industrial wastewater. It is also used for sample pretreatment in gas chromatography, cell culture, liquid scintillation counting, and the development of immunoassay diagnostic kits.

Please contact customer service to confirm the delivery time when placing an order.The theoretical maximum tolerance temperature is 550 ℃ (there are many limitations, such as the temperature needs to gradually and uniformly rise, and baking should not exceed 1 hour when reaching the highest temperature). It is recommended to control the actual maximum temperature between 300-400 degrees Celsius.
