This glass fiber separator membrane, GF/B grade from Whatman, is designed for demanding electrochemical and filtration applications. Manufactured without binders, it offers high wet strength, a fast flow rate, and excellent retention of fine particles, making it well suited for use as a separator in zinc, sodium/potassium, and lithium-air battery research. Its high liquid absorption and thermal stability (recommended operating range 300–400°C) also support high-temperature filtration tasks, such as pre-treatment of turbid samples or organic solvent filtration for toxin and xylene-soluble substance analysis. Commonly adopted as a battery separator and as a diagnostic reagent medium, this material combines reliable particle retention with efficient fluid transport, enabling reproducible performance in both energy storage and laboratory separation workflows.

It is recommended to control the actual maximum temperature between 300-400 degrees Celsius.
