Because high boiling point substances are difficult to volatilize, they will not be introduced into the titration cell. In this way, the Karl Fischer reagent in the titration cell avoids direct contact with insoluble substances and other substances in the sample other than water, and at the same time avoids the reaction of other substances to Karl Fischer.
