This electrolyte formulation is developed for use in lithium-ion battery research, specifically designed for evaluating cell performance and compatibility with high-voltage or silicon-based anodes. The product consists of 1.0 M LiPF6 dissolved in a 1:1 volume ratio of ethylene carbonate (EC) and ethyl methyl carbonate (EMC), with 2.0% vinylene carbonate (VC) added as a film-forming additive. The combination of EC and EMC provides balanced ionic conductivity and low-temperature performance, while VC enhances the formation of a stable solid electrolyte interphase (SEI), improving cycle life and reducing side reactions. This electrolyte is commonly applied in coin cell and pouch cell assembly for fundamental studies on electrode materials, electrolyte additive screening, or failure analysis. Available in multiple quantities from 50 g to 1000 g, it meets the needs of small-scale laboratory testing through to prototype development.
