Details

This electrolyte is formulated for sodium-ion battery research, containing 1.0 M sodium hexafluorophosphate (NaPF6) dissolved in propylene carbonate (PC) with 10% fluoroethylene carbonate (FEC) as an additive. The inclusion of FEC is known to enhance the formation of a stable solid-electrolyte interphase (SEI) on electrode surfaces, which can improve cycling stability and coulombic efficiency in sodium-based systems. The use of PC as the primary solvent offers a wide liquid temperature range and good solubility for the conducting salt. Designed for experimental and energy materials studies, this electrolyte supports the evaluation of sodium storage mechanisms in half-cell or full-cell configurations. Available in quantities from 50 g to 1000 g, it provides flexibility for laboratory-scale synthesis and characterization of advanced electrode materials.
