Details

This porous membrane, based on imported polyethersulfone (PES) from a German source, is designed for high-performance filtration in chromatographic analysis and bioprocessing. Its hydrophilic nature, combined with broad chemical stability (pH 1–14) and high mechanical strength, ensures reliable performance under demanding conditions. The membrane offers high flux and low protein binding, which improves protein recovery and makes it suitable for ion chromatography and pharmaceutical applications such as terminal filtration of antibiotics or biologics. Available in 0.22 μm and 0.45 μm pore sizes (25 mm or 50 mm discs, 50 pieces per box), it effectively protects HPLC columns and pumps while also supporting weight analysis, colloid separation, and sterile testing. Common uses include mobile phase preparation and sample filtration in food and beverage processing, as well as general clarification in research and industrial labs.

Imported polyethersulfone (PES):

Characteristics: Imported membrane from Germany, originating from a German membrane company in 1965. It is a hydrophilic membrane with high chemical and thermal stability and strong acid and alkali resistance (pH range 1-14). It has high mechanical strength. It has a large flux and high flow rate. Currently, the polyethersulfone membrane has the highest filtration speed and the lowest protein binding capacity. It has low protein adsorption, which can improve protein recovery and is the best choice for ion chromatography. It has wide pharmaceutical compatibility, the lowest dissolution rate, and can be sterilized with high temperature and pressure (30 min/121℃), ethylene oxide, and other methods.

Applications: Filtration of biologics and serum in the pharmaceutical industry, terminal filtration of antibiotics, etc.

Terminal filtration of beverages, wines, etc. in the food industry.

Introduction to porous membrane products:

In membrane separation technology applications, porous membranes are the most widely used type of membrane, with simple and quick usage. They have large gas flux, high particle retention rate, good temperature resistance, resistance to strong acids, strong alkalis, organic solvents, and oxidants, as well as good resistance to aging, non-stickiness, non-flammability, non-toxicity, and good biocompatibility. The materials are divided into organic and inorganic categories. Considering the separation characteristics of porous membranes, the main application of porous membranes is to capture particles, bacteria, and other contaminants from gas and liquid phases to achieve purification, separation, and concentration. In terms of microfiltration, the retention characteristic of the membrane is represented by the pore size of the membrane, typically ranging from 0.1 to 1 μm. Therefore, microfiltration membranes can separate large-diameter bacteria, suspended solids, and other substances. They can be used for the clarification, security filtration, and air sterilization of general slurries. They are widely used in scientific research, medical and health, biochemistry, food, energy, microelectronics industry, nanotechnology, environmental protection, and other sectors.

Applications of porous membranes:

This product is mainly used for the filtration of mobile phases and samples in chromatographic analysis. It has a good effect on protecting chromatographic columns, infusion pump systems, injection valves, etc. It is widely used in weight analysis, trace analysis, colloid separation, and sterile tests. During use, choose the appropriate filter membrane according to the filtered sample.
