This product, Lithium Sulfide Li2S-B with a particle size of 20 µm, is developed as a high-purity raw material for sulfide solid-state battery electrolytes and as a cathode component for lithium‑sulfur batteries. Supplied as a white to light yellow powder with a melting point of 938 °C, it exhibits good thermal stability but is sensitive to moisture, releasing hydrogen sulfide upon contact with air. Under heating in air above 300 °C, it oxidizes to lithium sulfate and can also form polysulfides when reacting with sulfur. Handling requires inert gas protection and a dry, ventilated environment, with precautions against acids. This material is suited for research and production environments focusing on next‑generation energy storage systems, particularly where high‑performance sulfide electrolytes or lithium‑sulfur cathode formulations are needed.

Open under inert gas protection, use in a dry and ventilated environment, avoid contact with acids, pay attention to personal protection, and treat waste containing lithium sulfide with alkali.

Lithium sulfide is relatively stable at high temperatures, but it absorbs water and releases hydrogen sulfide in air.
